Dr. Veronika Papp
She is specializing in insurance law.
Veronika Papp earned her law degree at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University in 2007. She continued her legal studies and obtained an LL.M. degree in insurance law as well.
She joined our Law Office in September 2006 as an intern, and since September 2007 she works as an associate. Since 2011 she works as a lawyer specialized primarily in insurance law, and civil litigations.
Veronika has had the opportunity to gain significant experience in complex matters of insurance law, including licensing and supervisory proceedings, operation of insurers and insurance intermediaries and contractual issues of market participants. Furthermore, she gained comprehensive knowledge in regulatory and contractual matters of credit intermediaries and intermediaries of the capital market, and complex issues of market participants and intermediaries operating in more sectors of the financial intermediary system.
Veronika has also developed a broad civil litigation practice and knowledge both before state courts and in arbitration in wide variety of cases including contract disputes, banking disputes and regulatory matters.
Veronika is among the authors of the Commentary on the new Hungarian Insurance Act (Hungarian Insurance Supervisory Law). She is a lecturer at courses organized by the Budapest Institute of Banking (BIB) and International Training Center for Bankers.
She is fluent in English and Russian.
She is a member of the Budapest Bar Association.
