Veronika Bakonyi is a core member in the banking & finance and capital markets departments of Gárdos Mosonyi Tomori Law Office. She earned her law degree in 2013 at ELTE University Budapest. Before joining the law office, she worked as a trainee and later as associate in an international law firm based in Budapest. Parallel to her traineeship, she continued her legal studies and obtained an LL.M. degree in Banking Law and Capital Markets at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. She joined Gárdos Mosonyi Tomori Law Office in 2019.

Veronika has had the opportunity to gain significant experience in complex financial transactions. Apart from providing legal advice in relation to the licensing of financial institutions and legal compliance of various institutions, she focuses on the legal aspects of fintech innovations. In the field of capital markets, Veronika is involved in projects related to the issuance of securities and the application of securities to regulated markets. She is a lecturer at courses organized by the Budapest Institute of Banking and International Training Center for Bankers.

She speaks Hungarian, English and French.

She is a member of the Budapest Bar Association.
